FAQs
What should my child wear?
At Artist Alley, we embrace our colorful mess and encourage children to immerse themselves in non toxic paints and other materials. We cannot guarantee that all materials will wash out, so please dress your child in clothes that they may be growing out of or a “uniform” that they can wear each time they come.
Does my child need to bring any materials?
We supply everything your child requires to complete our courses. You won’t have to worry about investing in any art materials to send with your child.
How many kids are in each class?
It depends on the offering. Usually no more than 12.
Will my child come home with a completed project every class?
No. Some projects may only take one session, but as they become more advanced, they may spend two or three weeks on a project.
Some of our advanced oil painters sometimes even spend months on a single piece, if it is something very complicated or meaningful to them.
Can I join a class in the middle of the month?
Yes, if there is a space available in the class, you are welcome to join mid-month. You will pay a prorated amount, based on the number of classes that are left in the month.
Why are monthly rates all the same, no matter how many classes are in a month?
To determine monthly tuition, we calculated the number of classes offered on a specific day for the year and set our monthly pricing based on an average of four classes per month (over the course of a year). Regardless of whether the class day you select has three, four, or five classes in any given month, the monthly tuition remains fixed. This pricing structure accounts for holidays and other predetermined weather closures, so make-ups are only needed for missed classes.
What is the rescheduling policy?
If you need to reschedule your class, please notify us at least 24 hours before your scheduled reservation to avoid late cancellation or no-show fees.
Late Cancellation or No Show Fees: If you cancel within 24 hours of your class or do not show up, you will be charged the full amount of your class reservation.
If my class falls on a holiday or a closure, can I schedule a make-up?
No, holidays are calculated into our yearly class calendar, so make-up classes are not permitted on these days.
